My Story
Hi! My name is Sukh & I'm the face behind CraftSquared
Fun fact: My full name rarely fits into the allocated boxes on forms.
Mrs Sukhninder Kaur Chatha-Johal :)
CraftSquared started in a very personal way. During lockdown, I began making personalised scrabble frames for my loved ones - small but meaningful ways to mark birthdays, new homes and new arrivals when we couldn’t be together.
I never imagined those first few frames would lead to what CraftSquared has become today. As more people began asking for frames, the business grew and so did my ideas.
Over time, CraftSquared expanded from bespoke gifting into creative events - from children’s craft parties and adult gatherings to corporate gifting & workshops. Creativity has always been at the heart of it, not just as something to make, but as a way to bring people together.
In 2025, I was incredibly honoured to be named Business Woman of the Year, recognising how far CraftSquared has come since launching in December 2021 - from my small table to working with families and businesses across the community.
Outside of CraftSquared, I’m a School Governor and PTA Chair at a large primary school, currently in my 5th year as both - which says a lot about what matters most to me. I care deeply about children, community and creating positive experiences, whether that’s in school, at a party, or through something I’ve made by hand.
Thank you for being here and for supporting this journey. If you’re looking for a thoughtful gift or a creative experience for yourself, your family or your business, I’d love to create something special for you.
Lots of Love
